Keyboarding Links

There are many, many websites, as well as software programs to teach keyboarding. The following are some links to try at home. Some are links to games, some to keyboarding practice. Games, generally speaking, do not teach touch typing and proper finger positioning, but are much more fun than some of the typical finger drills. The students need both inspiration and fun, as well as instruction. The students in grades 4-9 usually have about 10 minutes of keyboarding practice time per class. Any additional time they can spend practicing at home is always beneficial.

**Note to parents: There will be ads on most web pages. Many of these links also have other games which may not be educational games, nor particularly suited for the younger student. Before allowing your young student to play on these sites, please check them out yourself.

For the Beginning Student
